Our Storie in a Nutshell

We are a 4th generation family owned and operated ranch. Our cattle are raised on the grassy rolling hills of north central South Dakota. We have some of the most unspoiled pastureland in the US. We believe in grazing half of the grass and leaving the other half to help maintain our soil health. We strive to have a cattle friendly environment that will help create a high-quality product.

PRAIRIE PURE MEATS

On the natural Prairies of South Dakota, Prairie Pure Meats harvest facility is located on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. The plant is surrounded by thousands of acres of prairie that has supported vast herds of Bison and now is shared with beef. Making a difference not only for themselves and reach more customers but to make a community difference, ranchers Kim Hollenbeck and Bobby Ducheneaux encouraged by friends took the challenge to revamp and fully upgrade an existing Bison harvest facility. 

Offering locally produced grass-fed products, Prairie Pure Meats carry the highest regard for each animal and believe that these animals are raised as nature intended for the best taste. Prairie Pure Meats offers animals produced with no added hormones or antibiotics throughout their life. We are combining the best practices of raising beef with the ability to track each animal and connect the rancher with the customer for a long-term partnership.
